Chronicle of Nanocelluloses (NCs) for Catalytic Applications: Key Advances

نویسندگان

چکیده

Nanocellulose (NC) is a biomaterial with growing interest in the field of nanocomposites and sustainable materials. NC has various applications including biodegradable materials, reinforcing agents, packaging films, transpiring membranes medical devices. Among many applications, use functionalized organic inorganic groups found wide as catalyst chemical transformations. The goal this review to collect current knowledge on its catalytic for conversion. We have chosen organize manuscript according subdivision into Bacterial (BNC), Cellulose Nanocrystals (CNCs), Nanofibers (CNFs) their role inorganic- organic-functionalized NC-catalysts synthesis. However, consideration fact that literature very extensive, we decided focus our attention scientific productions last five years.

Sulfonic-based precursors (SAPs) for silica mesostructures: Advances in synthesis and applications

Sulfonic acid-based precursors (SAP) play an important role in tailoring mesoporous silica’s and convert them to a solid acid catalyst with a Bronsted-type nature. These kinds of solid acids contribute to sustainable and green chemistry by their heterogeneous, recyclable, and high efficiency features. Therefore, knowing the properties and reactivity of SAPs can guide us to manufacture a sulfona...

Sleeving nanocelluloses by admicellar polymerization.

This investigation reports the first application of admicellar polymerization to cellulose nanofibers in the form of bacterial cellulose, microfibrillated cellulose, and cellulose nanowhiskers using styrene and ethyl acrylate. The success of this physical sleeving was assessed by SEM, FTIR, and contact angle measurements, providing an original and simple approach to the modification of cellulos...
